Diethylene glycol is a colorless, odorless, non-corrosive viscous liquid. Boiling point: 245°C Freezing point: -7.8°C Soluble in water and can be mixed with most organic solvents. Esterification and etherification are easy. It can be used as a solvent, textile auxiliaries, plasticizer for rubber and resin, and viscosity improver for lubricating oil. It is mainly used as unsaturated polyester resin.
