Colorless monoclinic crystals or white powder. Relative density 2.103. Melting point 58.54 (±0.5)℃. Decomposes in hot water and alcohol. Soluble in cold water, its aqueous solution is acidic. Easily deliquescent in air. Loses crystal water upon heating to become anhydrous, further heated to decompose into sodium pyrosulfate.
