PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Magnesium chloride is an inorganic substance with the chemical formula MgCl2 and a molecular weight of 95.211. It is slightly soluble in acetone, soluble in water, ethanol, methanol, and pyridine. It deliquesces and smokes in moist air, and sublimates when it is white hot in a hydrogen gas stream.

PRODUCT USES

1. It is an important inorganic raw material in the chemical industry, used to produce magnesium products such as magnesium carbonate, magnesium hydroxide, and magnesium oxide, and is also used as a raw material for antifreeze, etc.

2. It is used in the metallurgical industry to produce metallic magnesium (produced by molten electrolysis), liquid chlorine, and high-purity magnesia sand, etc.

3. In the building materials industry, it is an important raw material for the production of light building materials such as fiberglass tiles, decorative panels, sanitary ware, ceilings, floor tiles, magnesia cement, ventilation ducts, anti-theft manhole covers, fireproof doors and windows, fireproof panels, partition boards, and the production of artificial marble and other high-rise building supplies. Among magnesite products, it can be used to make high-quality magnesium tiles, high-quality fireproof boards, magnesium packaging boxes, magnesium decoration boards, lightweight wallboards, molds, stoves, fireworks solidifiers, etc.

4. In other fields, it can be used as food additives, protein coagulants, snow melting agents, refrigerants, dust preventers, refractory materials, etc. Tofu made with brine (magnesium chloride aqueous solution) is more tender and delicious than tofu made with gypsum

5. Metallurgical industry: used to make refractory materials and adhesives for building furnace arms, and is the raw material for making No. 2 flux and smelting magnesium metal.
